Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed the likely date for Spain international Santi Cazorla to make a return to first team football.
Since picking up the ongoing Achilles injury in October 2016, Cazorla has had eight surgeries in a bid to solve the problem and has posting videos of himself running.
And though Wenger confirmed Cazorla will start running on the training pitch on Thursday, the Frenchman admitted a return to the team is still months away.
“He’s having his first run today. That’s quite positive. Flexibility is quite good. Difficult to predict when he will be back. Not before Christmas.
“That’s why he’s not included in the Europa League. Not played for over a year, always cautious to set a date. ” said Wenger as quoted in The Express
