President Muhammadu Buhari, President has approved the renewal of the tenure of six Chief Executive Officers of Federal Agencies.    The President also approved the appointment of two new Chief Executive Officers of Federal Agencies and one Senior Special Assistant.

Appointments are:

(a).        Renewal of Appointments:

3 National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu State Dr. Nwadinigwe Cajetan Uwatoronye Medical Director Second and final term of four years, with effect, from 30th May, 2018
4 Energy Commission of Nigeria Prof. Eli Jidere Bala Director General Second and final term of five years with effect from 6th May, 2018
5 National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) Dr. Mohammed Jibrin Director General Second and final term of four years with effect from 9th April, 2018
6 National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure Prof. Mohammed Haruna Executive Vice Chairman Second and final term of five years with effect from 3rd April, 2018

(b).       New Appointments:

              The new appointments are:

  1. The Presidency has also approved the appointment of Ambassador Yahaya Lawal as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations.  The Appointment is with effect from 1st April, 2018.
  2. The appointees were enjoined to live up to the high expectations of the public for prompt, conscientious and self-less service at all times. The President urged them to regard public offices as  trust that should not be betrayed.
